Amanda has been with Andy Taylor & Associates, P.C. since its inception in April of 2003. Her practice focuses on general litigation matters. By way of example, Amanda has been involved in the following:

  1. Representing political action committee in lawsuit filed by unsuccessful candidates alleging violations of the Texas Election Code
  2.  Advising individuals on various issues regarding upcoming vote on political measure
  3. Representing current officeholder in ongoing election contest
  4. Advising the Office of the Attorney General of Texas on various redistricting issues, including the application of the Voting Rights Act of 1965

  • Assisted Governor Rick Perry’s and Senator John Cornyn’s campaign on the ballot integrity initiative during the 2002 general election. This included organizing a statewide network of poll workers for election day, training poll watchers across the state, and fielding calls on election day regarding various legal concerns.
  • Counseled large corporations on employment issues, including wrongful termination, retaliation, and discrimination; wage and hour issues; disability accommodation and leaves of absence; reductions in force; and employee privacy.
